GETTING THERE:
Easter Island is 5 hours flying time from Santiago on Lan Chile via new 757 service.  During high season (November through March) there can be as many as five flights a week, but for the majority of the year there are only three. Always confirm your air first, then work on getting your land confirmed.

HOW LONG TO STAY:
Generally how long you stay will be governed by available flights during your travel dates.  The most popular length of time is three nights, allowing two full days to visit the highlights of the island.  One additional day can be beneficial, especially if you want to take a horseback riding excursion to some of the otherwise inaccessible sites on the island, but more than 3 full days can become tedious unless you are an archaeologist, a spiritualist or want to be active, such as hiking, biking, diving, and horseback riding.
