The winery is a great structure that is mostly buried in the middle of the land that surrounds it, to obtain significant energy savings and limited visual impact, leaving the vineyard as the main character of the landscape. Walking through the winery, you will understand the distinguishing needs of each one of the steps in the wine production process.
There are at least three distinct areas of the winery that give meaning to this design.
The first is the great running mirror of water at the entrance with 90 large granite boulders placed throughout. Walkways allow the visitor to walk among the running water which cools the barrel room located beneath it.
This initial entry, with views of the cordillera and of the vineyard, sets the stage for the great fermentation bay. The work is done by natural light thanks to a roof with a semi-translucent membrane of PTFE.
