There are four ways to get to Buzios:

1) You can arrange a transfer from Rio, sit back, relax and enjoy the view, shedding the pressures of big city stress with every kilometer. Transfer time around 3 hours.

2) You can take a public bus, with multi departures daily.

3) Charter a small aircraft for the short flight.

4) Rent a car and drive yourself but you'll have to negotiate the city traffic and Niteroi bridge before you slip the hassles of the city and hit the open road. Driving in Brasil is not for the faint of heart; 3 traffic lanes often host 4 actual lanes of traffic.  Recommended only if you have exceptional nerves and driving skills honed in other foreign destinations.
