ABOUT ACTIVITIES AT TXAI - in their own words (subject to change without notice):
NOTE: Some activities listed below may not be included in Txai rates
MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS:
With various difficulty levels, the rides go through the APAs (environmental protection area) of Itacaré / Serra-Grande, Lagoa Encantada, Conduru; including waterfalls, rivers and dense Atlantic Forest.
Duration: 2 to 4 hours.
Difficulty Levels: I, II and III.TREKS ON HORSEBACK extra:
There are three horseback trekking routes, for beginners to the most experienced. Trails through the forest, beautiful lookout points, beaches, rivers and coconut groves, in short, an incredible diversity of environments make this horseback tour a real mosaic of nature.
Duration: 2 to 4 hours - Min. 2 people / Max. 12 people.
Difficulty Level: Basic, intermediate, advanced.CAPOEIRA CLASSES extra:
Initiation to Angolan and regional capoeira, by local teachers who will reveal all its enchantment and magic.
Duration: 1 hour.TENNIS CLASSES extra:
Theoretical and practical classes conducted by a coach specialized in individual and group classes for adults and children.
Duration: 1 hour.SURFING CLASSES extra:
Theoretical and practical classes conducted by specialized coaches. It starts by taking the easy waves of Itacarezinho beach with its sandy bottom, located in front of the Txai.

ENGENHOCA: beach known for its long and full body waves. Best conditions: northeast wind. Duration: 2 ˝ hours 2 people minimum.
JERIBUCAÇU: A beach known for its tubular and long right and short left waves. Best conditions: south and southeast winds. Duration: 3 ˝ hours 2 people minimum.
ITACARÉ: Rezende, Tiririca, Costa, and Ribeira beaches. Even with different wind conditions, there will always be one of them with the right surfing conditions. Duration: 4 hours 2 people minimum.
SERRA GRANDE: Pé de Serra and Pompilho are the beaches that provide the best conditions for great south and southeast swells. Duration: 4 hours 2 people minimum.
TOURS:
1. CARANHA FARM
Trip taken by leaving Itacarezinho beach in the direction of the mouth of the Tijuípe River, walking about 4.3 km at low tide, and going up the river in Canadian canoes until arriving at a natural pool. There will be time to take a break and relax by the river rapids, while tasting in our shelter savory snacks prepared on a wood stove, while enjoying the view of the horizon, groves of nut palm trees, mangroves and the Serpenteado River until its discharge into the sea. The tour includes: sparkling wine, white wine, caipirinha (sugar cane liquor with lemon and sugar), beer, soft drinks, water, and a variety of appetizers.

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate2. POWER PLANT FARM
Circuit of interpretative trails located around the PESC (Conduru Hill State Park) revealing the meanders of the Tijuipinho River, its pools and water falls, surrounded by the exuberant Atlantic Forest and its impressive biodiversity.
Duration: 3 hours Minimum 4 people / Maximum 8 people.
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate3. TIJUÍPE WATERFALL
At dawn or late afternoon, this tour is perfect for waking up or relaxing. Swim in the natural pool and feel the water falling on your heads, renewing the soul and spirit.
Duration: 1 hour.
Difficulty Level: Basic to Moderate4. ITACARÉ CITY TOUR
Tour of the citys historical center, visiting principal points of interest.
Duration: 2 hours Minimum 4 people / Maximum 12 people.5. SUNSET AT THE CONTAS RIVER - BY CANOE UNDER SAIL
Two unforgettable views of the Contas River, one of the most important rivers of Bahia, that rises in the Chapada Diamantina and flows to Itacaré. The tour will allow visitors to enter the river through the mangrove in the late afternoon while receiving a gift on board and enjoying the view of the sunset between the river and the sea.
Duration: 3 hours Minimum 2 people / Maximum 8 people.MARAU PENINSULA
Off-road trip in 4 x 4 vehicle lasting 4 hours with stops at strategic points on the Maraú Peninsula, such as the Morro do Celular, Cassange beach, Cassange lagoon, Giant Bromeliad Trail, Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon) and, finally, the Coconut Palm Trail to the beach at Taipus de Fora. From there we will take a short walk along the beach and snorkel in the marvellous natural pools with a break for a snack (included) or for lunch at the beach bars (optional, not-included).

Level of Difficulty: Basic7. ALTO TIJUÍPE EXPEDITION
Downriver on inflatable canoes on the wildest and most unexplored portion of the Tijuípe River, through stretches of dense forest and over small rapids.
Duration: 2 ˝ hours Minimum and Maximum 4 people.
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate or Difficult (Level I, II or III)8. RIO DE CONTAS RAFTING
Some of the most extreme rafting in Bahia. Two hours of pure adrenaline going down the rapids of Contas River (class 3 and 4), backed up by a highly qualified life saving crew. The tour includes a ride of 42 km on dirt road by Land Rover off-road vehicle.
Duration: 8 hours Minimum 4 people / Maximum 14 people.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate9. LAGOA ENCANTADA
Located in the Environmental Protection Area of the same name, the Lagoa Encantada (Magic Lagoon) reveals its spectacular natural beauties to the amazement of those who have ventured to discover this sanctuary. After traveling 49 km, of which 11 km on dirt roads, we arrive at Vila de Areias, a village from where we will start our journey towards the beautiful water falls of Apepique and Véu de Noiva, formed by the impressive Caldeiras River, on board a small outboard engine boat (flying boat). A unique experience to come into contact with this nursery for the fauna and flora species found in this Atlantic Forest refuge.

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate10. BEACH TRAILS
The tours and activities rated as extra are not included in the hotel daily schedule. They should, therefore, be arranged 24 hours in advance. Cancellation of tours (daily or extra) should be made before 5:00 pm. of the day preceding the activity, at the reception or Tour House. Failure to do so will incur a charge of 50% of the tour value, referring to operating costs.
10.1. HAVAIZINHO/ENGENHOCA
The tour leaves Itacarezinho and heads north. We will follow a steep trail all the way to the top of the hill where a magnificent view of the whole Txai beach can be appreciated. The trip continues via the beaches of Havai and Havaizinho, and ends at Engenhoca beach with a swim in the sea.
Duration: 2 ˝ hours Minimum 2 people / Maximum 8 people.
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate10.2. JERIBUCAÇU
Starting from the Jeribucaçú railroad crossing gate, it is a 40 minute walk to the beach. The magnificent view formed by the meeting of the Jeribucaçú River with the sea waters is capable of impressing even the most experienced and well-traveled tourist. Next to the Jeribucaçú beach there is a beach called Arruda, a rather small beach of coral reefs, most of the time as deserted as nature created it. On the return trip, there is a stop at the Usina waterfalls, where its refreshing waters invite us to take an energizing bathe in the midst of wild nature.

Difficulty Level: Moderate to Difficult10.3. PRAINHA
After leaving Ribeira beach, and walking approximately 40 minutes on a trail in the midst of the Atlantic Forest, the tour arrives at the paradisiacal Prainha. This is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Brazil due to its admirable symmetry and the splendorous nature surrounding it, there is no infrastructure due to the difficult access, which ends up making it even more attractive.
