Bodega
Luigi Bosca

About Bodega Luigi
Bosca - in their own words:
At the start of the 20th century the Arizu family purchased the installations of an
important flour mill so as to convert it to use as a winery. Today the extensive
subterranean tunnels used to bring water from the Mendoza river to operate the water-mill
are now used as dark cellars where wine reposes, achieving its optimum maturation.
The different varietals harvested on the Luigi
Bosca properties, were brought from Europe around 1890. As a result, today´s vines are
the result of very careful selection from this old stock which underwent a slow process of
acclimatisation to its new home. During this period it suffered many positive crosses and
mutations that has reenforced its unique character. |
