In general, their Spring, Summer and Fall - October through May. For Punta del Este: December through March.

5) IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL IN URUGUAY?

Yes - just follow the universal rule of "normal precautions".

6) WHAT ENTRY DOCUMENTS DO I NEED?

U.S. citizens need a valid passport and an entry form-tourist card which is provided by your air carrier either at the ticket counter when checking in for your flight to Uruguay or once on-board. (NOTE: Other nationalities should check with the nearest Uruguay Consulate to determine correct entry requirements.)

Uruguay is most often paired with Argentina, with arrival or departure overland via Colonia. It is also often paired with Brasil, but there are also direct non-stop flights with Chile.
