ITINERARY (Subject to change without notice):

Friday - Depart USA: Depart the USA on overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Saturday - Arrive Buenos Aires: Morning arrival in Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, meeting and transfer to the Cesar Park Buenos Aires in fashionable Recoleta, for a two night stay. This afternoon explore this sophisticated, very European style city with your private guide.  Stop by the Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada and the Cabildo, where the declaration of independence was signed, drive the widest avenue on earth, 9 de Julio and visit Caminito, the "little street" in the Italian barrio of La Boca. Explore San Telmo, the historic district of Buenos Aires where the mansions have become antique shops and drive through the well-to-do-suburbs of the city.  (B)

Sunday - Buenos Aires: Day at leisure to explore at your own pace.  It's a great day to explore the historic San Telmo with outdoor antique flea market, and the street fairs of Recoleta. (B)

Monday - Buenos Aires - Comodoro Rivadavia - Bahia Bustamante:  Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight south to Comodoro Rivadavia.  Meeting upon arrival by your local host from Habia Bustamante, and transfer 110 miles north, a drive of about two hours, to Bahía Bustamante, located on the northern arch of San Jorge Gulf, Chubut Province.   This 80,000 hectare retreat with the small town of Bahia Bustamante is well known for its biodiversity. Few places worldwide house as many and as different birds and sea mammals, and since December 2008 its coasts have been part of the Marine National Park "Patagonia Austral". During your three night stay you will enjoy exclusive use of a Sea House, all meals and daily activities. (B/L/D)

Tuesday - Bahia Bustamante: Activiites at Bahia Bustamante are ideal for nature lovers. Hree you can go bird and sea lion watching, visit to the Petrified Forest, learn about the seaweed industry, visit a typical Patagonian ranch, enjoy panoramic trekking, horseback riding, and mountain bikig. Or, you can just relax and enjoy the most exclusive sandy beaches and crystal-clear water, surrounded by huge red rocks, in an atmosphere of incredibly different textures and colours. (B/L/D)

Wednesday - Bahia Bustamante: Another day to explore this uniquely pristine and remote area. (B/L/D)

 

Thursday - Bahia Bustamante - Peninsula Valdes: Todays is a spectacular day of overland travel with a visit to the little visited Magellanic penguin reserve at Cabo Dos Bahias Natural Protected Area located close to the town of Camarones. Created in order to preserve segments of land and sea together with its flora and fauna, there is a 400 meter long fenced interpretation path complete with interpretive signs and penguins on both sides, leading to the penguin colony where there can be up to 30,000 couples during breeding season. In addition in the area you can see guanacos, reheas, foxes and hovering sea birds such as petrels, skuas, cook seagulls and cormorants. There are also views to Moreno Island, which houses a colony of South American sea lions, the northernmost in the continent.  After your visit to Cabo Dos Bahias Natural Protected Area continue on to Peninsula Valdes, a UNESCO designated World Biosphere Reserve, for a three night stay at Faro Punta Delgada with all meals and a selection of daily activities and excursions. Sunday - Peninsula Valdes - Trelew - Ushuaia:  After breakfast, transfer to Trelew Airport for your flight to Ushuaia, southernmost city on earth, located on the north shore of the Beagle Channel. It's the end of the continent and the beginning point for most trips to Antarctica.   Meeting upon arrival and transfer to your hotel, the lodge-style Los Cauquenes, overlooking the channel, for a two night stay in Channel View accommodations. Monday - Ushuaia: Today you will enjoy a full day exploring Ushuaia, a city of 400,000. Visit the Old Town Centre, the port and the steep streets that climb the mountain, with colorful panoramic views. Also visit the End of the World Museum, which is located at one of the oldest buildings in the city. You'll also take the historic Train at the End of the World, which departs from the End of the World Station (National Park), follows the winding Pipo River edge and the same route as the prison train used to take, into Tierra del Fuego National Park, Argentina's only natinoal park with a seacoast. It has a surface of 63000 hectares where lengas (Nothofagus pumilio), sour cherry trees, ñires (Nothofagus Antarctica), calafates, notros (Embothrium coccineum) (Embothrium coccineum), flowers such as orchids, violets and senecios (Asteraceae). A trip around this National park, in addition to the several panoramic views of Beagle Channel framed by the mountains and forest, follows a road in the mountain foothills past peat bogs, beavers' dams and finally to the Lapataia River. After crossing the river, the road becomes winding and full of bushes with some panoramic views like Verde Lagoon. Kaikenes and storks come here every summer as you make the return to Ushuaia. Tuesday - Ushuaia - El Calafate - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Morning  transfer to the airport for your short flight to El Calafate, where staff from the Hosteria Los Notros will be waiting to pick you up for the two hour transfer to the Hosteria Los Notros, spectacularly set in the Los Glaciares National Park in front of Perito Moreno Glacier. You'll enjoy a three night stay in Superior accommodations at Los Notros with all meals and a daily seelection of activities and excursions included. (B/D)

Wednesday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Today you will choose the excursion you desire from their menu of excursions. (B/L/D)

Thursday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Once again today, select the excursion of your choice from the menu of options. (B/L/D)

Friday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares - El Calafate - Buenos Aires: Morning transfer by Hosteria Los Notros staff will take you to the El Calafate airport for your flight north to Buenos Aires. Meeting upon arrival and transfer to the NUSS, a boutique hotel in the trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood, for an overnight stay.   Balance of the day at leisure. This evening, transfer to enjoy the Rojo Tango Experience - a passionate tango show cabaret style, with dinner and wine. (B/DS)

Saturday - Depart Buenos Aires: Day at leisure to explore at your own pace.  Your hotel is paid for late check-out so no need to hurry through the day. Evening transfer to the international airport for   your return overnight flight to the USA. (B)
