ITINERARY (Subject to change without notice):
Monday - Depart Miami: Evening departure on overnight flight south to Chile.
Tuesday - Arrive Santiago: Morning arrival in Santiago. Meeting and transfer to Sheraton Santiago for two night stay. Afternoon visit to the city of Santiago, founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia. Visit all the main points of interest in this cosmopolitan city.
Wednesday - Santiago: Full day excursion to Vina de Mar, Chile's main seaside resort, and Valparaiso, Chile's main port, via scenic country drive. Visit the main points of interest and time for seafood lunch (cost not included) before afternoon return to Santiago. (A)
Thursday - Santiago - Balmaceda - Termas de Puyuhuapi: Morning transfer to the airport for flight south along the Andes to Balmaceda. Here the staff from the Termas de Puyuhuapi will meet you and transfer you over the famed Carretera Austral via Coyhaique to the Termas de Puyuhuapi, a drive of around six hours. It's a long day but one filled with scenic splendor. Your accommodations will be Lake Front Suite. (B/L/D)
Friday - Termas de Puyuhuapi: During your stay you are free to arrange activities directly with the hotel. There are outdoor thermal pools, a complete spa and a variety of hikes and excursions including the Hanging Glacier, Quelat National Park and the village of Puerto Puyuhuapi. (B/L/D)
Saturday - Termas de Puyuhuapi: Another day to relax and enjoy the facilities or participate in one of the excursions offered by the hotel. There is also excellent fly fishing and arrangements can be made with the hotel at additional cost. (B/L/D)
Sunday - Termas de Puyuhuapi: Your last day to enjoy this exquisite remote hotel, its thermal baths and excursions. (B/L/D)
Monday - Termas de Puyuhuapi-Coyhaique: Today you will enjoy a full day's excursion via the modern Patagonia Express catamaran. Cruise through the scenic channels and fjords to Laguna San Rafael where you will have the chance to view this imposing glacier up close. Then cruise back to Puerto Chacabuco and transfer to your hotel in Coyhaique, arriving in the evening. Open bar, lunch and dinner aboard the catamaran. (B/L/D)
Tuesday - Coyhaique-Balmaceda-Puerto Montt-Puerto Varas: Morning one hour transfer to the Balmaceda airport for short flight north to Puerto Montt, gateway to the scenic Lake District. Meeting upon arrival Puerto Montt and transfer to Puerto Varas and the lovely Cabanas del Lago for overnight stay. Afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace. (A)
Wednesday - Puerto Varas - Peulla: Morning departure on scenic 2-day crossing of the Lake District, using a combination of motorcoaches and motorlaunches. Drive to Petrohue Falls for a visit before motorlaunch across Lake Todos Los Santos to Peulla for dinner and overnight at Hotel Peulla. (B/D)
Thursday - Peulla - Bariloche: Continue your scenic Lake District crossing via series of short bus and boat trips. Arrive Llao Llao peninsula in the afternoon and final transfer to Bariloche for two night stay at the spectacularly set Llao Llao Resort and Spa. (B)
Friday - Bariloche: Day at leisure to explore this charming alpine style town at your own pace. (B)
Saturday - Bariloche - Buenos Aires: Morning at leisure to explore this charming lakeside resort at your own pace. Transfer for mid-day flight across the Andes to Buenos Aires. Meeting and transfer to the Alvear Palace in the heart of fashionable Recoleta for two night stay. This evening you'll enoy dinner and tango and folkloric presentation at the popular Esquina Carlos Gardel. (B)
Sunday - Buenos Aires: Morning visit to the main points of interest in this bustling and sophisticated city, often called "The Paris of South America". Drive the widest avenue on earth, 9 de Julio, and visit colorful La Boca, among other places of interest. (B)
Monday - Depart Buenos Aires: Day at leisure to explore at your own pace. Buenos Aires is famous for its leather shops and there are many excellent museums and art galleries. Or arrange an optional tour to Tigre/Delta, on the new Tren de la Costa. No need to hurry through the day as your room is paid for late check-out. Evening transfer to the airport for return overnight flight to the U.S.A. (B)
Tuesday - Arrive Miami: Morning arrival in Miami, clear customs and immigrations and make connections to your home city.
