ITINERARY (Subject to change without notice):
Friday - Depart USA: Depart Miami, New York or Los Angeles on overnight flight
Saturday - Arrive Buenos Aires: Morning arrival in Buenos Aires. Meet and transfer to the Alvear Palace in the heart of Recoleta for 2 nights with Buffet breakfast daily. Afternoon city tour to main points of interest in Buenos Aires and visit to the famed Colon Opera House.
Sunday - Buenos Aires : Full day at leisure to explore Buenos Aires at your own pace - historic San Telmo with outdoor antique flea market; fashionable Recoleta with street fair and newly renovated Puerto Madero with shops and restaurants. (B/)
Monday - Buenos Aires - Lago Argentino - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Morning flight south to Lago Argentino, on the edge of the Andes. Meeting and transfer to Hotel Los Notros in the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares directly in front of Perito Moreno glacier, for three night all-inclusive stay. (B-D)
Please NOTE: During your stay all meals and all excursions are included - check daily with the front desk for the menu of excursions.
Tuesday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Today you can select from a menu of excursions offered by Los Notros. Just in front of the hotel is Perito Moreno Glacier, a huge and majestic glacier that is still "growing". Excellent boardwalk trails for varied vistas of the glacier. (B/L/D))
Wednesday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares: Select from the menu of excursions as offered by Los Notros. A popular excursion is the Upsala Explorer excursion which includes a motorlaunch crossing, visit to historic Estancia Cristina and views of Upsala Glacier. (B/L/D)
Thursday - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares - Paine Towers National Park: Morning departure for six hour transfer by Hotel Los Notros over paved and all weather roads to Cerro Castillo, Chilean border crossing, where the Hotel Explora van will be waiting to take you into Paine Towers National Park for three night stay at the Hotel Explora. It's a long but scenic day of remote and rugged countryside. (C/D)
Please NOTE: During your stay all meals (1/2 bottle of wine, beer or soft drink included with lunch and dinner) and all excursions are included - check daily with the front desk for the excursions available; they range from half day, easy excursions to full day, difficult excursions and include walks, hikes, treks, horseback riding and motorlaunch excursions. The excursions are designed to give you ample time to explore the beauties of the park.
NOTE: Beginning April 2005, minimum stay will be 4 nights and entry-exit days will be "rolling" and suggested departure day from the USA will change
Friday - Paine Towers National Park: Today enjoy excursions as offered by the Hotel Explora. (B/L/D)
Saturday - Paine Towers National Park: Once again, enjoy excursions as offered by the hotel. (B/L/D)
Sunday - Paine Towers National Park - Punta Arenas - Puerto Varas: Morning departure by Hotel Explora van or five hour drive south along the rolling steppes of Patagonia to Punta Arenas airport where you catch your flight north along the Andes to Puerto Montt, gateway to the scenic Lake District of Chile and Argentina. Meeting and transfer north 20 minutes to Puerto Varas on the shores of Lake Llanquihue and the Cumbres Patagonicas for overnight stay. (B)
Monday - Puerto Varas - Peulla: Scenic drive along the Lake to Petrohue for a visit to the falls before transfering to the pier to board your catamaran and begin the Lake District crossing. You will enjoy the two hour motorlaunch cruise across Lake Todos Los Santos to Peulla for dinner and overnight at Hotel Peulla. (C/D)
Tuesday - Peulla - Bariloche: Morning departure by motorcoach to continue the Lake District crossing via a series of motorlaunches and motorcoaches to Puerto Panuelo for the last transfer into the town of Bariloche, on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi for two night stay at the Hotel Llao Llao. (C)
Wednesday - Bariloche: Day at leisure to explore this charming Alpine-style summer and winter resort town at your own pace or take the chair lift up Cerro Companario for bird's-eye vista of the area. (C)
Thursday - Bariloche - Buenos Aires: Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Buenos Aires. Meeting and transfer to the Alvear Palace in the heart of the fashionable Recoleta. This evening you will enjoy dinner at one of the city's popular steak houses and then a folkloric show highlighting the tango and gaucha music and dancing. (C/D)
Friday - Depart Buenos Aires: Day at leisure to explore at your own pace - no need to hurry through the day as your room is paid for late check-out. Evening transfer to the airport for return overnight flight to the U.S.A. (B)
Saturday - Arrive Miami: Morning arrival in Miami, clear customs and immigrations and make connections to your home city.
