ITINERARY (Subject to change without notice):

Friday - Depart USA: Depart the USA on overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Saturday - Arrive Buenos Aires: Morning arrival in Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, your private car and guide will be waiting to transfer you to the venerable Alvear Palace, featured on the Life of the Rich and Famous and located in fashionable Recoleta. Your accommodations will be in a Junior Suite. The day is at leisure to relax and explore at your own pace. This evening you will enjoy dinner and tango music/dancing at the Esquina Carlos Gardel. During dinner the show house presents an audio-visual on the history of tango and on the life of Carlos Gardel. It's an excellent way to being you stay in Argentina. (DS)

Sunday - Buenos Aires: Spend this morning with your private car and guide exploring this sophisticated, very European style city.  Stop by the Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada and the Cabildo, where the declaration of independence was signed, drive the widest avenue on earth, 9 de Julio and visit Caminito, the "little street" in the Italian barrio of La Boca. Explore San Telmo, the historic district of Buenos Aires where the mansions have become antique shops and drive through the well-to-do-suburbs of the city.  The afternoon is at leisure. Be sure to explore the street fair in Recoleta and the outdoor antique flea market in San Telmo. (B)

Monday - Buenos Aires - Bariloche-Villa La Angostura: Your private car and guide will be waiting to take you to the airport for your flight across the Pampas to the edge of the snow-capped Andes to the summer and winter resort town of Bariloche.  Upon arrival, you will be met by your local host, provided with maps and information on the area and assisted with picking up your 4x4 rental car (note: automatic shifts are not available). Then self-drive to Villa La Angostura, a scenic drive of around an hour and a half, around Lake Nahuel Huapi offering sweeping vistas across the lake to Bariloche and the background of snow-capped mountains. You'll spend the next two nights at Las Balsas, a Relais & Chateaux property located in the National Park of Nahuel Huapi, facing the lake, just 3 km from the village of Villa La Angostura.. (B)

Tuesday - Villa La Angostura: Spend today enjoying Las Balsas or exploring the area at your own pace.  You can arrange for fishing and horseback riding. You can drive into the village or you can pamper yourself at the lovely spa at Las Balsas. (B)

Wednesday - Villa La Angostura - San Martin de los Andes: Today you drive north only 129 km to San Martin de los Andes, but they are a truly scenic 129 km through the "Siete Lagos" (Seven Lakes) area. The road is pave at the beginning and end, with the middle half through the most scenic part gravel. There are designated "miradors" for vistas and panoramas and many places to just pull off the road to enjoy the scenery. While you can drive this in about two hours, you'll want to slow down and enjoy it, so plan to leave in the morning and arrive San Martin de los Andes in time for a late lunch, Argentine style. You'll have a two night stay at La Cheminee, a charming inn right in the heart of town. (B)

Thursday - San Martin de los Andes: Today is yours to explore at your own pace.  You can arrange for fishing, horseback riding, hiking, motorlaunch excursions and a variety of other activities. San martin de Los Andes has many excellent chocolate shops, boutiques and restaurants. (B)

Friday - San Martin de los Andes - Bariloche: Today you will make the return drive back to Bariloche but by a different, yet still scenic route.  You'll go via the Paso Cordoba and the Enchanted Valley, so called because of its curious rock formations. Then continue on through the town of Bariloche and continue out of town 30 minutes to Puerto Panuelo and the venerable Hotel Llao Llao, majestically perched atop a hill with commanding vistas. You'll enjoy Studio accommodations at the Llao Llao for the next two nights. (B)

Saturday - Bariloche: Today you can take the chairlift up Cerro Companario, drive up Tronador, explore the town of Bariloche filled with chocolate chops, boutiques, tea houses, and pubs or simply enjoy the facilities at the Llao Llao including a complete spa. (B)

Sunday - Bariloche - Isla Victoria: This morning your local host will come to your hotel, and transfer you to the pier for the 30 minute motorlaunch transfer out to Isla Victoria. Your local host will then return the rental car for you. Once at the pier at Isla Victoria, you'll be met by the resident guides at the Hosteria Isla Victoria, and transferred to the Hosteria. Your two night stay here will include all meals with wine and a variety of excursions/activities offered by the Hosteria, including horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, 4x4 excursions, fishing or just plain relaxing in the heated pool, jacuzzi or sauna or in your own private jacuzzi. Monday - Isla Victoria: The day is yours to explore this lovely island with 2 kinds of dear, 25 species of birds and only a few humans.  There are plenty of activities to keep you busy today. (B/L/D)

Tuesday - Isla Victoria - Bariloche: Today you will take the Hosteria's boat back across the lake to Puerto Panuelo where the Hotel Llao Llao will pick you up for short transfer to the hotel for overnight in studio accommodations. (B)

Wednesday - Bariloche - Buenos Aires: Morning at leisure with mid-day or early afternoon transfer to the airport for return flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, your private car and guide will be waiting to transfer you back to the Alvear Palace for overnight. Your accommodations will be in a Junior Suite.

Thursday - Buenos Aires: Day at leisure to explore this bustling city at your own pace. Your room is paid for late check-out so no need to hurry through the day. In the evening your private car and guide will transfer you to the airport to check-in for your departing flight.  (B)

Friday - Arrive Miami: Morning arrival in Miami. Clear Immigrations and customs and continue to your home city.
