LOCAL ATTRACTIONS - in the words of Casa Suaya:
You can explore Jose Ignacio, it is just 3 minutes drive from Casa Suaya. Fishermen houses and huge mansions are built one beside the other, giving this little village a unique contrast, where around here the only thing that is in a hurry is the wind.
During the summer months the movida comes along with jet set parties, the traditional carnival festival and the concerts in the lighthouse, although peace and relaxation are the ones who rule.
Bring only flip-flops distances are very short just a couple of blocks and you cross from the Mansa to the Brava Beach in 5 minutes. While you´re walking you might come across a carro pulled by a horse or a state of the art Ferrari. Anything is possible in José Ignacio and everything exists in harmony.
For more daring personalities give the waves a chance. Enjoy surfing under the guidance of the resident surfing guru, or learn to kitesurf with Laura Monino at the Laguna Garzón.
Don´t forget to cruise over to La Barra where you will be welcomed by music, great food, drinks and a mix of jet setters and locals alike.
During the winter, the village is all yours. But the guests who are received with reverence and great respect are the Ballenas Francas (Franca Whales), which arrive from july until late october, resting on their way to Península Valdés.
You can go fishing as well or just ask the local fishermen to take you out to admire the views from the sea.
