LOCATION:
Cala Mia is located on the virtually uninhabited island of Boca Brava in the Archipielago of Chiriqui, which is part of the National Marina Park in the golf of Chiriqui. It has over 100 islands within its boundaries with innumerable secluded beaches! The park is a refuge for an abundance of wildlife with, -on the forest-covered islands-: howler monkeys, ocelots, margays, jaguarundis, raccoons, ant-eaters, coyotes; in the bays and ocean: leatherback and hawksbill turtles, dolphins, whales and a wide variety of other tropical fishes and in the deep blue skies: birds, birds, birds! Hundreds of species, a cross-road between 2 continents! How to get to Cala Mia:
Local flight to David, then transfer to Marina Pedregal, at 5 minutes distance. From here our comfortable taxi-boat (free snacks, wine, beer or sodas) brings you in an unforgettable 50 minutes-ride to our hotel. The trip passes through lagoons, mangroves, tidal-wetlands, estuaries, and on the banks of the river you will be able to see indigenous villages and their inhabitants tending their crops or fishing.
