Staying at this boutique hotel, which recreates the hospitable and refined spirit of the big farms of the beginning of the last century, is undoubtedly the best way to know, love and discover an area of wonderful beautiful nature: Southern Patagonia.
Los Sauces, Casa Patagonica follows the architectural style typical of the region, which combines native features with European influences. Predominant materials are noble, among which Patagonian profide and wood stand out, which together with the sheet metal roofing and a simple, but of great morphological richness design gave the house a personal and peculiar character, in total harmony with the seducing environment surrounding it: a natural garden of willows and rose hips.
The interior offers a cosy climate, both for the body and mind, where those characteristics differentiating Los Sauces, Casa Patagonica from the rest of the hotels in the area become the clue. The books, the music, the chimneys, the garden, the personalised assistance and the exquisite options from the kitchen. The bedrooms blend the highest modern technology and a careful and elegant decoration with the stress on those tiny details which make both a stay and a moment unforgettable.
The SPA architecture made of stone and octagonal format promotes the use of natural light. The different cabinets are located within each edge of the octagon. Our aim is that our guests relax and receive body and facial treatments, Jacuzzi and sauna sessions taking the most advantage of the Patagonian lightful sun. Nothing better for recovering energy after a day full of adventures in the open air in the Country of the Glaciers!
LOCATION:
Los Sauces Casa Patagonia lies by the Calafate River on a 10–acre surface area which is naturally landscaped with native trees and plant species. El Calafate is surrounded by towering mountains and turquoise lakes and is the last inhabited place, before the entrance to Los Glaciares National Park. Los Sauces is just 4 blocks from the center of El Calafate and yet only a little over an hour to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares.OVERVIEW:
The main house has the living room, library and restaurant.
A second house has the Spa with:
- Individual treatment rooms with natural light
- Locker rooms
- Fitness, sauna, steam room, scotch hose and Jacuzzi tubs.
- An assortment of beauty therapies and massage to experience the perfect balance of the body, the mind and the soul.
- Aromatherapy, wildflowers, chocotherapy, fango treatments using local plants and native flowers.
Three houses have 6 rooms each and a living room. Four of the rooms are Suites and two are corner suites. Each rooms is decorated in an eclectic and homey style. Each room has its own unique character, furnished in different colors. All the rooms overlook the grand scenery, enhanced with top-quality fabric and elegant designs which perfectly harmonize with the atmosphere of the place.

RESTAURANT:La Comarca Restaurant (40 Covers) offers a delicious gourmet experience discovering the flavours of the End of the World by the hand of Ramiro Rodríguez Pardo, reputed referent of the Argentine cuisine who elaborated the menu skilfully combining certain old recipes of Profound Patagonia, that of the huge farms with infinite horizons, with the flavours that make up his own gastronomic background.
