ABOUT HACIENDA CHORLAVI - in their own words:

HISTORY:
Legend tells that the great Inca King Huaynacapac met and fell in love with the Caranqui's Princess Pacha with sites of what today is Chorlavi as their silent witness.

In 1620 the Jesuits bougth their first property in this region, the Hacienda Chorlavi. During the 1800's the Jesuits used the Hacienda as a Monastery, the magnificent mansion revealed the fusion of the European style and the skills of the native artisans. The fields were used for harvesting crops.

With the expulsion of the Jesuits, the Hacienda was acquired by the Tobar family having an area over the 370 acres from what is now San Antonio to Urququi.
