ABOUT THE HOTEL DAS CATARATAS - in their own words:
Hotel das Cataratas by Belmond is the only hotel located within the Iguassu National Park, with the world famous Iguassu Falls just a two minute stroll away.
As the only hotel within the national park, guests are able to enjoy exclusive access to the falls each morning before the park opens.
The Iguassu Falls are a breathtaking collection of 275 waterfalls, extending over almost 3km in an enormous canyon on the Iguassu River. We are pleased to be able to offer a range of experiences within this spectacular region including helicopter flights, rafting, nature walks, jeep safaris and a visit to the bird park.Restaurants & Bars:
Hotel das Cataratas has two restaurants, the Ipê Grill alongside the pool and the Restaurante Itaipu which boasts an outside veranda. International cuisine and local dishes are served in both restaurants. Local dishes and specialities are extensive and have been shaped by the eclectic population of the Iguassu region and its variety of culinary influences. Fish predominates due to a plentiful supply from the nearby rivers. If you would prefer to relax in the comfort of your room there is also a choice of food and beverages available from room service.

Ipê Grill: Located adjacent to the pool, the Ipê Grill offers a delicious selection of light snacks, refreshments and dishes from an à la carte menu throughout the day, as well as a delicious buffet breakfast and an a la carte lunch. In the evenings the restaurant offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere for open air dining. The restaurant offers a 'gaucho' style barbecue in the evenings showcasing many of the different meats South America is famous for. An extensive buffet is also available with salads and other traditional local and international dishes. |

Restaurante
Itaipu: Restaurante Itaipu is located on the ground floor of the main building and has a terrace for al fresco dining with amazing views of the falls during the day. The restaurant offers a fine dining experience, serving a blend of Brazilian and international cuisine. The restaurant also offers a relaxed environment for evening dining. Take a seat inside the restaurant or request a table on the restaurant veranda and enjoy your meal overlooking the verdant hotel grounds towards the falls. |

Bar Tarobá: A great place to start your evening, meet your travelling companions for drinks before dinner and watch the sunset from the bar veranda with a cooling caiparinha in hand. Later in the evening, sit back and relax to sound of live musical entertainment, played every evening between 19.00 and 23.00. |
Pool & Gardens
The Hotel das Cataratas features a large swimming pool in the centre of the property. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens where delicate orchids grow.Recreation & Fitness:
Hotel das Cataratas has excellent facilities for recreational activities. Both sporting and more leisurely pursuits are available on the property, all of which are available free of charge to guests.Cataratas Spa:

Each of the treatments celebrates the grandeur of the Amazon, featuring an array of responsibly-harvested, sustainable ingredients direct from the lush rain forests of Brazil. A cocktail of tropical fruits, moisturizing butters and organic plant extracts are summoned for an inspired collection of services that comfort the body and soothe the soul. Our Spa has five treatment rooms each one dedicated to providing the perfect space for relaxation: three treatment rooms including one with separate shower for exfoliation treatments, one perfect for couples treatments and a dedicated manicures and pedicures treatment room.
