Fantasy Island Beach Resort is located on a private, 21acres island off the south shore of Roatan island, 8miles from Roatan Airport.

The Resort has 87 rooms all rooms beautifully furnished in tropical motif and feature tiled entrances, plush carpeting, air conditioning, ceiling fan, color TV,  direct dial telephone, refrigerator, sitting area and balcony with ocean view. All baths have tub and shower.

There are two Restaurants, two Bars with frequent live entertainment, a private dock, a dive shop and a well stocked boutique offering snacks, liquor, soft drinks, sundries, hand crafted jewelry, clothing and a variety of souvenirs..  There is also a fresh water swimming pool, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court and   a complete Water Sport Center and Marina with powerboats, sailboards, ocean kayaks, windsurfers, Boston Whalers, sea bikes, wave runners and canoes.

There are a variety of scheduled activities including Fantasy Walk, Basketball games, Hair Braiding, Punta Lesson, Beach Volleyball, Table Tennis and Darts, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Black Pool, Kayak Contest, Salsa Lessons, Crab Race, Bingo, Dive video viewing, Garifuna Show and Pantomime & Stilt Show.

Diving:
Some of the world's best diving is found only minutes from the resort. Over 50 dive sites, characterized by spectacular crevices and tunnels opening to breathtaking walls, offer excellent visibility, abundant fish and brilliant corals. Most sites are within 10-20 minutes, and good diving is accessible approximately 40 yards from the beach. There are SSI certified Divemaster. 4 dive boats with the capacity of 5 to 20 divers. The full service dive shop offers a large selection of equipment for rental. Resort courses and certification courses are available. There is a hyperbaric chamber, nitrox and nitrox training at the resort.

The resort was built to accommodate divers. The dive center has dockage which allow for 42 foot dive boats. There is a guest storage area which is adjacent to the underwater photo center, compressors and equipment rental facility, as well as the Hyberbaric Chamber. Beach dives can be done from a unique dive gazebo. Just a short swim away are a shipwreck, a sunken airplane, a shallow reef and a dramatic wall.

TOURING:
Tours can also be arranged.  Some of those available include:

  • Island Tour: Visit the Marine Science Museum, the Dolphin Show, the beach of West Bay, the Glass Bottom Boat and go shopping to Coxen Hole.
  • Nature Tour: Come with us to the Tropical Bird Park, the Dolphin Show, the Carambola Botanical Gardens and the Iguana Farm.
  • Mangrove Canals Tour: Explore the 100 years old Mangrove Canals by motor dory in Oak Ridge, the Garifuna village of Punta Gorda and buy fresh hand made jellies at Marbel Hill's Farm.
  • Sunset Cruise: Enjoy the Caribbean Sunset on the fishing town of French Harbor while sipping rum and listen to tropical music.
