There are approximately 35 dive sites within 10-20 minutes of the resort with visibility from 75 to 150 degrees. The water temperature is normally between 78-80 degrees. The dive sites offer a variety of caves, ledges, tunnels, holes, walls, sand chutes and eel gardens. Since the reefs are part of the Marine Conservation Sanctuary and are completely protected, the reefs are beautiful and almost every species of tropical fish and coral indigenous to the Caribbean are here. NO spearfishing, collecting, hunting, salvaging or touching of the reefs is allowed.

The dive shop is equipped with 10,000 cu.ft. of compressed air storage. There are 6 dive boats, each with a dive master and captain. Each diver must have a certification card, a submersible pressure gauge and a BC jacket. Each buddy team must have a depth gauge and timing device. Prior to your first dive you will be assigned a tank and storage number for the week. The boat sign-up procedure will be explained at that time. You will also be required to perform a short orientation dive. This insures that all divers are comfortable with their equipment and buoyancy before their first dive.

The dive shop opens at 7:30 AM and boats normally depart at 9:30 AM. There are three (3) boat dives daily and two (2) night boats per week. The schedule is one tank dive, return to fill your tank (about 15 minutes) and go out for another one tank dive. This allows for 30-45 minutes on the surface between dives. After the second dive you return to the dock at about noon. There is a one-tank dive in the after, departing at 2:30 PM and returning at about 4:00 PM.

One-tank night dives are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Shore dives are limited to 7:30AM and 9:00 PM (dive shop’s hour of operations). The shore dives are done in the lagoon in front of the dive shop. There is a reef that bottoms out at about 35 feet and an airplane wreck.
