Estancia Los Alamos is located in the heart of the province of Mendoza, just 2 hours from Mendoza or a short drive from San Rafael airport.

One of th oldest and most traditional of Argentina's estancias, it was built in 1830 originall as a frontier fort and once had a half million acres.  It was taken over in the 1920s by the well known Argentine writer Susana Bombal and for many eyars was a retreat for writers and artists.

Today is have 12,000 acres and raises cattle and jas estensive vineyards, olive orchards, vegetable plots and fruit groves.

There are five guestrooms each with private bath and opening onto an enclosed courtyard with swimming pool.

Activities include horse-back riding, trout fishing on the grounds of the estancia and Class III and IV rapids through a beautiful rimrock canyon in the nearby Andean foothills, hiking and trekking in the Andean foothills and visiting nearby vineyards.
