Relax. You're in good hands. Very good hands. Our Serenity Spa therapists offer a full range of treatments using a blend of natural, organic Costa Rican products and high quality, corrective skin and body care products. After a day of adventure there's nothing like a visit to our Serenity Spa.

MASSAGE THERAPY:

• The Serenity:
  Our signature treatment combining Swedish massage techniques, firm pressure and long relaxing stokes for optimum relaxation
• Couple Massage:
  Drift away and peel away the layers of stress with that special someone in your life with this relaxing Swedish massage combined with other techniques. The couples massage is available in 60 and 90 minutes sessions.
• Costa Rican Lava Rock Massage:
  Experience the extraordinary combination of large, hot rocks, massage and aromatherapy. The deep, healing properties of the warm stones deliver a more centered, deeper level of relaxation that stays with you long after the massage is completed. Treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Head, Hands & Feet:
  Starting with a scalp massage, we then massage the neck, face, shoulders, hands and feet. Great for first time spa goers or as an add on to any treatment.
• The Deep Tissue Massage:
  This massage is designed for pre or post activity. A firmer, more vigorous massage targeting your specific areas of concern. Great for sore muscles and getting ready for, or getting over the last Costa Rican adventure. Treatment time is 50 minutes.
• Aromatherapy Massage:
  This massage will tingle and soothe all the senses. Start with a stimulating dry brushing, followed with an aromatherapy, cleansing essential oils and finished with a 60 minute massage using essential oils of the finest quality. Treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Lymphatic Drainage Massage:
  A light-touch relaxing massage that follows the lymphatic pathway for great detoxification reduces swelling and eliminates toxins.

MUDS & WRAPS:

• The Volcanic Mud Treatment:
  Experience the healing properties of this sulfur enriched mud. Great for detoxification and enriching the skin. Total treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Natural Clay Wrap:
  This 100% organic clay is found deep below the earth in the rainforest. The properties of this clay are restorative, detoxifying and cooling. Helps to restore the skin’s balance. Total treatment time is 120 minutes.
• The Sunburn Relief:
  Too hot? This quick treatment cleanses, cools and calms an over exposed skin with aromatherapy oils, aloe and a cooling body mask. Does not include massage. Total treatment time is 50 minutes.
• Oleaslim Cellulite and Detox Wrap:
  To provide great results in contouring the body, reducing cellulite and deep detoxification, the following regime is necessary: a vigorous dry brushing, a 50 minute lymphatic drainage massage and the application of the “Oleaslim” pure essential oil. This combination deeply detoxifies and liquefies toxins. Now it’s time to sweat them out! Total treatment time is 110 minutes.

MASTER THERAPIES:

• Massage Cupping:
  A wonderful ancient technique dating back to the 1500’s with the Egyptians using this method & then the Chinese, massage cupping has found its place in the modern world of healing. For our spa use, by creating suction & negative pressure, massage cupping releases rigid tissue, drains exceess fluids & toxins, loosens muscles en crisis withour causing pain and brings blood flow to the skin and muscles. It is fantastic for deep muscle relief and body contourning. Treatment 20 minutes.
• Muscle Meltdown:
  It’s just like it sounds. A combination of a 60 minute deep tissue massage with 20 minutes of “massage cupping”. This treatment will melt down those aching, hard to reach muscles, works at a much deeper level than normal massage and leaves you with a sense of relaxation long after the treatment has ended! And it just feels really good!. Treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Body Contouring Aromatherapy Wrap:
  Working with the lymphatic drainage pathways & massage cupping, we dedicate this treatment to rid the body of excess, stagnant toxins, flaccid skin, inflammation and cellulite. As you rest in a cocoon wrap, our therapist will work on the face giving a toning and firming effect using the massage cups. You can look forward to the effects of a mini face lift and practically loose a full size in one treatment. 110 mins.
• Four Hands Massage:
  While working in tandem, two therapists will massage you from head to toe, striving to keep the pressure and rhythm synchronized so that you forget where one therapist starts and the other one ends! Double your pleasure! The total treatment time is 50 mins.
• The Crème de la Crème:
  One of the mos luxurious treatments of all. Just under 3 hours of pampering, cleansing, peeling away rough, dry skin, a 50 minute relaxing massage, application of the most deliciously decadent aromatic creams, pure extracts, aromatherapy oils and purifying 100% organic clay. As if this isn’t enough, a deep pore cleansing mini facial and scalp massage sends you into a deep state of tranquility. You deserve the best! Time 170 mins.
• Reflexology:
  Starting with a fresh citrus foot scrub, we then apply a cooling mint oil and work the specific points of the feet. A pressure point stimulation assists circulation, balances the body and relieves tension. Total treatment time is 50 minutes.

MASTER THERAPIES - WRAPS

• Eucalyptus Herbal:
  This herbal blend is extremely helpful for aches and pains, sinus problems, bronchitis colds and is very cooling. Total treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Mint Herbal:
  An energizing, yet relaxing body wrap. The mint herbal blend helps to relieve respiratory problems, digestive problems, increases blood circulation and helps mental concentration. Total treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Grateful Citrus Herbal:
  This citrus blend is invigorating, stimulates the lymphatic and blood circulatory systems and regenerates a sluggish skin. Awaken the senses. The total treatment time is 80 minutes.
• Lemongrass & Chamomille:
  Good enough to eat! Our own special mixture of salt and coconut oil to scrub away the dead cells and leave your skin radiant and hydrated.

THE EXFOLIATORS

• Ylang Ylang Sugar:
  A gentle body polish with the seductive fragrance of ylang ylang leaves you feeling absolutely irresistible. Does not require showering after the treatment. Total treatment time 50 minutes
• Tropical Citrus Salt:
  A lovely blend of exotic citrus and sea salt. A bit more exfoliation to awaken a tired, lifeless skin. Does not require showering after the treatment. Total treatment time 50 minutes.
• Ginger Lime Crushed Rice:
  This is a local treatment. In Costa Rica, rice is a way of life! Crushed rice with organic ginger, lime and essential oils make for an invigorating exfoliation. Good enough to eat! Requires a simple shower rinse after treatment. Total treatment time 50 minutes.
• Bamboo Lemongrass:
  Totally delicious. Using ground bamboo as an exfoliant and adding the aromatic fragrance of lemongrass, this scrub is one of a kind. Refreshes tired muscles and invigorates the spirit. Requires a simple shower rinse after treatment. Total treatment time 50 minutes.
• Serenity Spa Body Peel:
  This fabulous treatment combines exceptional exfoliation with luxurious pampering. Using an ultra effective vegetal peel, we gently peel away rough, cracked and wrinkled skin and a smooth, vibrant skin appears! We then indulge your senses with the application of essential oils and aromatic extracts to energize, nourish and replenish ravaged skin. Does not require showering after the treatment. 80 minutes.

FACIAL TREATMENTS

• Serenity Facial:
  A European style, hands on treatment that includes deep cleansing, aromatherapy massage, application of corrective, scientific products and a mask. Total treatment time is 50 minutes.
• Keratolyse Peel:
  Using a very gentle vegetal peel, gentle enough to use on the eyelids, we carefully remove the rough build up of dead cell to redefine the texture of the skin and lessen wrinkles. We finish with a cooling cream mask. Leaves the skin smooth and radiant! Total treatment time is 75 minutes.
• Serenity Super Facial:
  It’s for the person that needs it all! Tired, lifeless, rough skins need more than just one facial. Our super facial is two treatments at once. We follow all the procedure for the keratolyse peel, deep pore cleansing, gently peeling away the dead cell, applying all the scientific corrective products and then finish with the infusion of oxygen. Makes all the difference in the world! Total treatment time is 80 minutes.
• The Oxygen Facial:
  Oxygen is life! After a deep cleansing, our signature aromatherapy face and scalp massage, we select the corrective products for your skin type and then infuse oxygen into the skin penetrating products that moisturize and rebalance your skin. It’s like a breath of fresh air for your skin. Treatment time is 70 minutes.
