SANTA ELENA RAIN FOREST RESERVE
This private reserve is dedicated to protect the cloud forest. Home of the Rivers Chiquito and Caņo Negro, which together with Quebrada Aguas Gatas are the major source of the Arenal Lake.

The reserve offers four different trails and three observation platforms from where you will have incredible views, including the imposing Arenal Volcano. Due to its great flora and fauna, this private reserve is considered one of the main attractions of Monteverde.

CANOPY TOUR ADVENTURE
Enjoy a Tour 100% adrenaline, where you will experience different sensations while traveling from platform to platform through the canopy.

SKY WALK
Sky Walk is a network of hanging bridges, trails and platforms built inside the cloud forest canopy.  Its main purpose is to offer a different perspective in the observation of the tropical forest, creating a new alternative for nature lovers. Serene and sublimely revealing, you’ll have a great chance to see how the forest works. Sky Walk consists of an 1800 meter trail with five hanging bridges.  The bridges span up to 120 meters (400 feet), and hang from a maximum height of 37 meters (122 feet) above the forest floor. The bridges are specially designed to reach into all the different layers of the forest, including the canopy. More than 90% of the trails are built within primary forests. The Sky Walk is adjacent to Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve in Monteverde.

SKY TREK
Fly through the cloud forest in a safe, heart-pumping tour: Sky Trek. You’ll connect to a network of steel cables that run between five trees in the forest. Each tree has a platform, and each platform is at a different level in the forest. This way, you get to experience all the complex and beautiful layers of this multifaceted ecosystem. Along the way, a special viewing platform offers a sweeping view of the Gulf of Nicoya. When it’s clear, you can even see both oceans from this point! This is a great tour, full of fun and surprises. Monteagro offers the visitor valuable information about the different activities of a farm. In the dairy, the tour guide will provide information about the cattle and all the processes from milking the cows until the production of dairy products including the cheese. Walk through the natural trails where you will observe different species of trees, plants and birds.
Be informed about the coffee while visiting the coffee plantation. Do you know anything about the medicinal plants?
