ADVENTURE AND FUN FROM CALA LUNA

Deep Sea Fishing: The Guanacaste region is famed for its sport fishing. Cala Luna features a 26' boat complete with a skipper and full fishing gear, providing access to the exhilarating experience of fighting a 300 pound Marlin or Sailfish. Sailfish,Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Marlin included in this memorable adventure.
Jungle Boat Safari: Departure time: in accordance with high tide. The Giant Mangrove swamps provide a natural protected habitat for a wide variety of exotic birds, monkeys, caimans, iguanas and land crabs. This two-hour boat trip into the Baula National Park offers you the opportunity to explore the intrigue of this saltwater wildlife refuge. An experienced bilingual guide will assist you in this unique adventure. Also included in the costs are Park entrance fees, refreshments and transportation.
Giant Leatherback Turtle Nesting Safari: Departure time: in accordance with the tides. A nocturnal adventure at Baula National Park provides the rare opportunity to witness one of the few remaining nesting grounds for the Giant Leatherback Sea Turtle. Watch as the world's largest reptile lays her eggs and returns to sea. A professional multi-lingual guide from the National Parks, the Park entrance fees, a video show, as well as refreshments and transportation from the main hotels in Tamarindo are included in the price.
Horseback Nature Safari: Departure time: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. / 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Explore the beauty of the Guanacaste countryside on horseback with an experienced ranch hand. Our Sabanero will select a horse for the journey according to your experience. While encountering the serenity of the silent surrounding hills, you will see an abundance of wildlife. Santa Cruz and Guaitil Tour: Departure time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This half-day tour of The Folk Capital of Costa Rica - Santa Cruz - provides an insight into the lives and culture of the indigenous "Chorotega" Indians. The day begins with a trip through the Guanacaste Countryside featuring picturesque villages and cattle ranches scattered along the way. Once arriving in Guatitil Village, you will learn how artisans manufacture and paint Indian pottery utilizing the same techniques as their Pre-Columbian ancestors. Afterwards, visit the historic town of Santa Cruz and shop for local crafts and souvenirs. For lunch, take pleasure from the culinary arts of Guanacaste cooking in one of the local restaurants. Corobici River Float: Departure time: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. At sunrise, float down the beautiful Corobici River leading to the Tempisque River Basin. The journey leads you through the Guanacaste countryside to the town of Caņas. From here, journey down the gentle Corobici River which boasts a variety of exotic birds and tropical wildlife. The float is safe for all ages. Upon arrival to the Hotel La Pacifica, partake in lunch and, afterwards, relax on the hotel's luxuriant grounds. Finally, visit a Reserve featuring wild cats. The return journey takes you through "White City" of Liberia to view the unique adobe construction of the capital city of Guanacaste. Palo Verde National Park - Guaitil: Departure time: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Located at the basin of the Tempisque River, Palo Verde features lowlands and marshes that provide the perfect conditions for the largest concentration of waterfowl and wading birds throughout Central America. This is a bird watchers paradise and a perfect area to view the intriguing caimans. The tour begins with a drive through the beautiful countryside of Guanacaste and, after reaching a local port, you can explore the National Park of Palo Verde. Lunch will be served along the river banks. On the return journey, pass through the famous artisan village of Guaitil where the Chorotega Indians produce pottery using the same techniques as their Pre-Columbian ancestors.
