About Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge - in their own words:

Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, tucked away in the trees and cooled by the Pacific Corcovado National Park. Carefully designed and built by an American naturalist with over twenty-five years of local experience, this unique lodge offers accommodations constructed with the highest concern for conservation in harmony with the landscape and the environment. Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge provides the ideal base for your in-depth rainforest experience.

There are no roads to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, access is only by motor launch. The adventure begins two hours before your arrival as the launch leaves from our reception center ¨La Hacienda¨ in Sierpe through the river and follow the Pacific coast.

Accommodations:
Your accommodations at this ¨Lost World¨ are artfully-appointed individual bungalows offering unpretentious comfort, mosquito-netted beds, ceiling fans, tiled floors, ample storage including closet, lounge area, dry mini bar, safety deposit box, and hammock. Roomy private bathrooms have hot water showers and designer fixtures. As you stroll down the sidewalk, your eye can't help but be drawn to the beautiful stained glass in the door and wooden shutters in the windows handmade by Costa Rican artisans.

Accommodations include 4 Honeymoon Suites (each with 1 bed), 6 Deluxe Bunglamows (each iwth 1 double and 2 singles) and 4 Junior Suites (each with1 double and 1 single). Click here for more detailed description of each room type.

Bar "El Bosque"
Is surrounded by virgin Rainforest and fruit trees, which draws birds, monkeys and other animals. It‚s perfect for birdwatching, or try a refreshing drink from our exotic coctail menu. Non-alcoholic fruit drinks and canned beverages are always available.

Dining Area
Mealtimes are special as you enjoy the casual elegance of our lovely Jungle Dining Room. These delicious meals are prepared each day from the freshest vegetables, Seafood, Tenderloin, Chicken and Pasta. Served and prepared with style and originality like Casa Corcovado, you are reminded of the ever changing exotic and remote beauty that surrounds you.

"The Forrest" Swimming Pool
A spring-fed swimming pool hidden away in the forest beside a small stream is available anytime you want to use it. Pool towels are available in the Bar and there is an intercom phone if you wish to order something.

"El Solar" Swimming Pool
Casa Corcovado has a new larger swimming pool. This completely tiled pool is divided with a children’s section and one with deeper water for the adults. The pool is surrounded by a flagstone-paved area, which is perfect for sun-bathing in one of the lounge chairs. There also chairs and tables with umbrellas for a cooler approach. For those who wish to escape the sun completely or for a light lunch "Al Fresco" there is a tiled-roofed "Rancho" where you can sit back and relax to the sounds of the rainforest and of the waterfall inspired by Mexican architect Luis Barragán.

"Salon Corcovado" Meeting & Lounge Area
Salon Corcovado, our intimate Rainforest Conference Center, is a perfect place for groups, for different activities or to read a good book in the informal lounge area. A selection of tapes can be found in the office when you want to see a movie or a documentary about the rainforest or Costa Rica.

Gift Shop & Office
We have Swarovsky binoculars for rent, T-shirts, suscreen, hats, sandals, film, insect repellent, bird and animal identification charts, personal hygiene articles and many other items. The manager is at your disposition if you have any questions or needs he can help you with.

Laundry Service
You will find a bag and a list of prices in your room, it is available daily just have everything ready when the chambermaid cleans your room.

Margarita Sunset Point
Join us for a frosty Margarita or just to watch the sunset, a Casa Corcovado tradition. Other cold drinks are available and you´ll have a chance to observe wildlife and at times even spot whales   

Deluxe Picnic
What better way to end your stay at Casa Corcovado than a relaxing day at the beach. With all of the activities and tours very few guests have the chance to take full advantage of our beautiful pristine beach. This a unique opportunity to enjoy a half-kilometer-long sand beach where you can be completely alone, something that is very rare in today’s world.

It’s a perfect place for beachcombing, to explore the bat cave or to take a shower in one of the waterfalls. Take a walk on the nature trail behind the beach to witness the orchids growing on rock walls that drip water that sparkles in the sun. Experience the natural surroundings but let us spoil you a little. Lunch will be served in your own screened “Cabaña” where your waiter will spread out the table cloth and set out a delicious meal accompanied by a chilled bottle of French wine. A day with the perfect blend of nature and style ….. "A La Casa Corcovado"

Tropical Sand Beach
Enjoy beach-combing on our half-kilometer-long pristine beach then refresh yourself under a waterfall or bathe in a shaded pool. Feel free to ask for a ride down to the beach and to arrange for a pick-up time with our ¨Jungle Taxi¨ or call using the radio, which is at the boathouse.

Mini Bar
Due to the fact that we produce our own energy so as not to burn fossil fuels your ¨Dry Mini Bar¨ is not refrigerated. A price list to record your consumption is found in each Bungalow.

¨La Hacienda¨
Our colonial style reception center is located in the town of Sierpe beside the wide, winding river of the same name. Here you will have a chance to change shoes and clothes, use a washroom and have something cold to drink. There is also a gift shop where you can buy any last minute items you may need.

After your captain has the luggage packed aboard your boat, you can embark on a one and a half hour ride down the Sierpe River, winding your way through the largest mangrove wetlands system on the Pacific Coast of Central America. You then follow the coast until arriving at Casa Corcovado. Refreshments will be served during the trip and lunch and a complimentary cocktail will be ready to welcome you to the Jungle.
