Casas del Bosque is located 70 km from Santiago, Chile's
capital, and 30 km from the port of Valparaiso. It was conceived in 1993 to be a family
boutique winery exclusively oriented to produce high quality wines. Casas del Bosque has
its own vineyards in the Casablanca Valley, a privilege place for premium wines
production. It guarantees that our entire grape production and all its treatment is
carefully handled and controlled by ourselves, which a big strength.
Today, Casas del Bosque has 193 productive hectares of white vines Chardonnay and
Sauvignon Blanc, and red vines Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah and Pinot Noir. Besides, there are
13 hectares in the Rapel Valley, with more than 35 year old grapevines of our Cabernet
Sauvignon.
Our production reaches 40.000 boxes per year. This is one of the reasons for being
boutique: to work with small quantities makes it possible the rigorous treatment for the
production of high quality wines, as we have stated. Nowadays, over the 80% of our
production is exported to the most demanding markets abroad, and the rest is distributed
on the local market, which turns us into an exporting winery mainly.
