CULTURAL
Visit to the town of San Juan Bautista

Description of the tour:
Going out of the Lodge by surface or sea you can get to the village of San Juan Bautista, with about 600 people it has several key points of historical and natural, cultural interest as: The sectors that in February, 2010 were affected by the Tsunami, the new square implemented by the municipality, the cemetery, the caves of the patriots, the sector impacts of bullet of the battle of the Dresden and Santa Barbara’s fort, national monument that dates back from the 18th century. We will also visit goldsmiths of black coral and craftsmen who work the leather of fish.

TREKKING
Yunque’s small square

Coordinates: 33º 38´58” latitude south & 78º 50´ 32,6” longitude west
Height: 261 m

Description of the tour:
This path takes us to the start of the highest summit of the island “El Yunque” with a height of 915 m. It is inserted in Pangue's native forest, Cinnamon-trees and Naranjillos, is a light trekking but full of surprises and beautiful sight. In this square in addition they find the remains of the house where there lived the German sailor Hugo Weber that after the collapse of the Dresden came back to the island and lived in it for more than 12 years.

“Sal Si Puedes” View-point

Description of the tour:
Trekking mainly uphill for a clearly delimited path, but that with rain can be very slippery, predominated by an exotic flora. The story is that in one of the sections of this path they were sending the convicts of the foreign crafts at a very pronounced gully, where some of them were managing to get out and others not, that gives the name of this viewing-point “Get out if you can” in English, which has an infinite sight to the Pacific Ocean, by Cumberland's bay for the north - west and the sector of “Puerto Inglés” to the south-west.

Centinela View-point

Description of the tour:
Path that begins from the lodge towards the North-East of the island, coming to a viewing-point where there are a few antennas and we will find the formerly only telegraph in town with a beautiful sight of the gully of the “pesca de los viejos”. Walking away from the viewing point begins a closed native forest.Duration: 2, 5 hours

Trekking of Selkirk’s view point
Coordinates: 33º38’1, 5’’ latitude south & 78º51’05, 3’’longitude west
Height: 580 m
Distance: 4 km
Description of the tour:
This viewing-point was used by Alejandro Selkirk, a Scottish sailor who auto-exiled himself in the island and remained in it for more than 4 years, his interesting story was an inspiration of Daniel Defoe's known novel 'Robinson Crusoe's incredible adventures’. The path of native flora takes you to a strategic point where it is possible to have a panoramic sight of both sides of the island. On the way we also meet two important icons “piedras pintadas” and the stone cabin where this seaworthy was sheltering. From the viewing-point a small downhill through the native forest we will encounter chontas, pangue and cinnamon-tree.

“Puerto Francés” & “Rebaje de la Piña”

Description of the tour:
     Leaving by one of our crafts from the lodge or from a fishermen crafts depending on the participants' quantity. Loading from the wharf of the lodge begins the navigation towards the French port bordering the “Quebrada piedra agujereada”, “La Labra” and “La Pesca de los Viejos”. At the arrival, from the bay we start walking entering the gully of the Frenchman going through the sector of “La Casa Vieja” (Old House) and “Plan de la Sopaipilla”, then we enter an endemic forest surrounded with Lumas, Naranjillos, Chontas, Cinnamon-trees and varieties of Ferns.
     About the midday comes near to “Rebaje de la Piña” to a height of 320 m. with a panoramic sight of the whole south hillside of the island including the small island “El Verdugo”, “Chamelos”, “Vinilla” and Santa Clara’s island.
     We come back to the French Port where we have lunch outdoors with typical fishes of the zone.

Recommendations:
Always use lifeguard while in the boats, take extra clothes for change and sandals for the disembarkation, trekking clothes and canes, rain poncho, camera, do not break, burn or cut anything from the native flora.

“Cruce de Isla” Trekking
Coordinates: 33º 39`48´´ latitude south & 78º 55´31’’longitude west

Distance: 10, 5 km
Description of the tour:
This trekking starts from the island’s airfield up to the town of San Juan Bautista, the first section is characterized to have a low difficulty with a relatively flat way in for the south hillside of the island with beautiful sights of small islands. Then from Villagra's sector begins the ascent to Selkirk’s view-point crossing a few native forest ending in a beautiful sight of both sides of the island.

You can choose from different places to fish, the group that goes together must not exceed more than 4 people.

Discover the catch of the lobster
Accompany us in a tour on board of our craft to discovering how they handcrafted hunt for Juan's Fernandez lobster (Jasus frontalis). Enjoy a typical island lunch with a “pot of lobster” and vidriola accompanied by a few glasses of Chilean wine.

“Trolling Fishing” through Juan Fernandez’s cost
Activity goes fishing of dragging: with 2 daily exits bulging hours 7.00-9.00 19.00-21.00 through Robinson Crusoe’s island, to capture vidriolas, Juan's Fernandez horse mackerel saws and bass between others.

SCUBA DIVING
Submarine Baptism
You’ll be underwater for a couple of hours.
Our instructor of skin-diving Padi will give you an orientation on physics and physiology of the scuba diving, as well as the instruction on how to use the equipment of autonomous scuba diving and to get used to this new submarine environment. Then, down the supervision of the instructor, support scuba diver and captain of the craft, we will go in a real scuba diving experience to a maximum depth of 15 m. where you will have a more nearby vision of the submarine world of Juan's Fernandez archipelago.

Scuba diving to “Punta Lobería”
Leaving at 9:00 am towards “Punta Lobería”.
Dip in just above a couple of anchors of the nose Englishman Speedwell, run aground in 1720. We should be able to see pampanitos (Scorpis Chilensis), horse mackerels (Caranx geogianus), Jerguillas (Girella albostriata) and lábridos (Malapterus reticulatus). Depth 28mts. Surface interval of 45mts.

Scuba diving to “Puerto Inglés” (English Port)
Dip in the below “Puerto Inglés”, in the gully of “Sal si puedes “(depth of 28mts). Diverse marine flora and fauna.  Dive around a great rock fractured in two. Brown eels, crustaceans, tree of sea or black coral (Parantypathes fernandezii). We will go back to the surface on an interval of 60mts in land since we will do disembarkation in “Puerto Inglés” where Selkirk's cave is located, where the North American investigator, Bernard Keiser is doing scientific excavations to dig a valuable exchequer up Englishman stolen from the Spanish in times of the pirates.

Scuba diving to “Punta San Carlos”
Dip in below “Puerto San Carlos”. Dive through volcanic tongue that begins in the 25mts and slowly ends at the 3 mt mark. Colonies of anemones, black hedgehog and vidriolas (Serióla lalandii), then return to the wharf.

Scuba diving to “Bajo del Encierro”
Dip in “Bajo del Encierro” with a depth of 15mts, where we will find big amount of tendrils, soles, cabrillas and vidriolas.

Scuba diving to the Goblin’s cave
Boat ride for about an hour to get to the dip in the spectacular Cave of the Goblin in Three Tops in the southern part west of Cumberland’s bay. Deep diving in one of the Robinson Crusoe's best sectors. Crustaceans, vidriolas, daces, calanthias platei, serránidos, horse mackerels, escorporas, big brown breads. Surface interval of 50 min. everything close to a colony of wolves die of two hairs, mammalian only one endemic sailor of the archipelago.

Scuba diving to “Bajo la Tortuga”
Dip in below “Bajo la Tortuga”. A wonderful place, with a depth of 15mts, where we will enjoy the only spectacle big rocky formations, caves, and a diversity of flora and fauna marinades (black coral, tendrils, soles, cabrillas and vidriolas).

SNORKELING
Snorkelling through the colony of wolves die of two hairs

50 minutes boat ride towards “Bahia Tres Puntas” in Robinson Crusoe's southwest zone. Here is located an important colony of thin wolf of two hair (Arctocephalus philippii). We should have the opportunity to snorkelling in the middle of a herd of more than 100 curious wolves of sea, mammalian endemic only one of the Archipelago. Enjoy a roast on board of the craft.

Snorkelling in Pangal Bay
In your free time, you will be able to enjoy the snorkelling in Pangal Bay from our private beach, where you will be able to see wolves, pampanitos, jurelillos, hedgehogs, a great quantity of anemones of different colors, and vidriolas.
