ABOUT RADISSON PUERTO VARAS - in their own words:

Opened in February 2009 as the Gran Hotel Colonos del Sur, joining the Radisson family in January 2015. It was conceived as a place of luxury, located in the center of Puerto Varas, with Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes as the back round. The hotel was built by the most prominent architecture firms and interior designers of the country such as  Alemparte Barreda & Asociados Arquitectos y Enrique Concha B. & Diseņadores Asociados, to satisfy the needs of demanding passengers that enjoy high international quality service.

The Radisson Puerto Varas presents a concept based on the cultural back round of its environment, which is the German colonization of the mid-1800s. To create a sophisticated atmosphere it offers classic details such as wood shingles and warm touches of other native woods, stone and metals. History and modernity emerge from every corner of this seven level building, packed with the latest technology in communication systems, security, air conditioning (the heating is based on geothermal energy), fire fighting, emergency stairs, lighting and equipment generators, among others.

Balandra restaurant, international cuisine inspired in southern Chile’s back round, with a privileged view of the lake and volcanoes, and a cozy fireplace to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee in general.
