The Hotel Tropical Manaus is nestled along side the Rio Negro, 6 miles from the airport and 10 miles from the center of Manaus.  It is a large sprawling hotel with a total of 601 rooms, two swimming pools, a water garden, a mini-shopping mall, 5 tennis courts, excercise room, barbershop,  beauty salon, and mini-zoo. Each room has air-conditioning, individual safe, blackout curtains, smoke detector, mini bar, in-room music, direct dial local and long distance, Pay-Per-View TV (4 channels) and 110V electricity.

There are a variety of restaurants and bars:
  • Tucano Coffee Shop - Room for 190 people, with "a La Carte" and buffet and Brazilian and international cuisine specialties.
  • Karu Grill Tropical Restaurant - Room for 110 people, exotic and regional dishes, meat barbecue and regional fish, accompanied by a salad and cold cuts buffet, regional fruits and sweets. Live music.
  • Aquático Bar - Located on Praça das Águas, with drinks, juices, sandwiches and short orders.
  • Nobre Bar - Located next to the Game Room.
  • Café Brasil - 24-hour service with quick lunches and drinks, located next to the Tucano Coffee Shop.
  • Studio Tropical Night Club (Thursday to Saturday).
