ABOUT ESTANCIA DE CHARME EL COLIBRI - in their own words:

From 170 unspoiled hectares of farm land, El Colibri is an authentic example of the Argentinean campo where the wild forest has been transformed into a natural park and the rest of the grounds are looked after like a private garden.

In order to make the posada look and feel like an Argentinean estancia at the beginning of the 20th century, the owners traveled around the country, searching for the best craftsmen, the finest materials and authentic antique furniture. The estancia is designed like a home where every room is decorated differently and every single detail is  inspired by a story.

LOCATION:
The Estancia de Charme, El Colibri is located in the center of Argentina in the province of Córdoba 45 minutes from the Córdoba International Airport. The airport also features 5 to 7 daily flights to Buenos Aires and many other national destinations.

El Colibri is located on 170 hectares of private property boarded by the Santa Catalina River.

  • 01 El Colibri Suite : offers a large living room, with a separate bedroom, a comfortable dressing room and two private terraces. The bathroom includes a shower and a double Jacuzzi tub, and a separate water closet with bidet.

    It features breathtaking views of the Córdoba Mountain on one side and the Andalusian Patio on the other. It is a warm, inviting place with a huge open fire place that can also be enjoyed from the library. It has beautiful crystal chandeliers, antique furniture and an 8 meter high wooden ceiling which creates a beautiful atmosphere It is separated from the dinning room by heavy rich, velvet curtains.

  • DINING ROOM:
    it is a cozy place with Mountain Views and is open to the Summer Living room which creates a continuity of the houses architectural design.

  • GASTRONOMY:
    the cuisine is created around of the best fresh seasonal products; all meals are presented without additives of any kind. Most of the meat comes from own farms where stock is raised in the strictest traditions of organic husbandry. Vegetarians menus are also available.

  • SUMMER LIVING ROOM:
    It has its own bar and comfortable sofas facing an outside open fire; it is the perfect place to have a drink, lunch or dinner depending on the season, and features an extraordinary view of the Sierras at sunset.

  • WINE CELLAR:
    You will be able to taste the finest Argentinean wines in this extensive wine cellar

  • HOBBY AND BOUTIQUE ROOM:
    This is the perfect place to shop and peruse after outdoor activities and features some of the finest national craftworks, beautiful books and more.

    It is a relaxing paradise fully equipped with a Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, high pressure shower and a massage treatment room.

    It sits facing the Córdoba Mountain’s with a beautiful deck made of national pink stones and a solar heating system that allows it to be used nearly all year long.

    Adjacent to the Clubhouse, the saddle room is where the smell of leather and horses invite you to have a closer look at the saddles and all the horseback riding equipment

    Argentina is known to be the paradise for the “The King of Sports”. The two stick and ball fields as well as the two competition fields with irrigation system will permit to beginners as well as advanced players to play their favorite sport with Argentinean ponies and players known to be the best in the world.

Golf:
Three 18 holes golf courses nearby El Colibri.

  • Ascochinga: located at 15 mns from El Colibri. It is a beautiful place at the foot of Cordoba’s mountains.

  • La Cumbre: located at one hour drive through a breathtaking landscape, in the middle of the mountain with an impressive view. It is a stupendous golf course which since the installation of irrigation system and the redesigning of some of the holes is now an authentic Championship Course.

  • Villa Allende : located nearby Córdoba city. It was inaugurated in 1922. It has an irregular topography, common in hilly areas, with smooth but sharp undulations and a variety of wild, indigenous plantations, adapted to the course’s design. This golf course is known to be one of the best of Argentina

Dove Shooting:
Córdoba is known to be the best place in the world for dove shooting which is opened all year round.

Karting (go-cart racing):
At only 15 mns drive we have a 1050 meters karting track. El Colibri karting Team has at your disposal competition karts for adults or children.

Visits:
El Colibri is located in the heart of the Jesuit region with the Santa Catalina Church declared human cultural patrimony by the UNESCO at only 7 kms away. Colibri can organize different tours in order to discover the Jesuit road, the high mountains of Córdoba and all the treasures that the Córdoba province offers.
