ABOUT THE ARELAUQUEN POLO CLUB - in their own words:
POLO
The Arelauquen polo grounds feature two polo fields, built and maintained by Alejandro Bratto. Facilities include: club house; boxes; and an international school for children and adults. In addition, it provides all you need to play, so you need not bring your own equipment. The Novillo Astrada brothers, ambassadors and consultants of Arelauquen Polo Club, are often present at Arelauquen Lodge.
Polo School:
The Arelauquen polo grounds have their own International Polo School, open to all those interested in learning the basic skills of this fascinating sport.
Both children and adults may register. Students are provided all that is needed to be initiated in the world of polo; weekly fees include the use of 4 horses per player, a horse trainer and taqueo classes.Technical Information:
Arelauquen Polo Club is a member of the Asociación Argentina de Polo (Argentine Polo Association). It has two polo fields measuring 275 x 160 meters (300 x 175 yards), with sidelines 10 meters (11 yards) wide and end zones 25 meters (27 yards) deep. It also features 48 boxes, corrals, a riding school and housing for the horse trainers.Partnership with La Aguada Telmex:
The renowned Novillo Astrada brothers - Eduardo, Miguel, Javier, Ignacio and Alejandro tally Argentinas second highest polo handicap. Together they form the Triple-Crown winning team of La Aguada Telmex. In addition, they serve as Arelauquen Polo Club ambassadors and consultants.
During the summer polo season (December through March), the Novillo Astrada brothers are hosts at the Polo Club, and can often be seen at the Arelauquen Lodge polo grounds.
